For centuries, the Edera, or Ivy vine, has been a poetic symbol of love and resilience due to its evergreen nature, and its ability to grow and hold fast even in less-than-ideal circumstances.

A L’Arte Nascosta exclusive, this version of the “Ubi Es” ring is the result of a collaboration between Master Goldsmith, Paolo Penko, and Master Engraver, Jesùs Serrato.

Cast in Sterling Silver according to the traditional lost-wax method, the “Ubi Es” ring is further embelished by Jesùs Serrato, who applies a 24k damascened embellishment.

Originally designed by Paolo Penko, the “Ubi Es” ring is inscribed with an ancient betrothal vow in Latin: “Ubi Es Semper Ero,” or, “Wherever you are, there shall I be.”

Designed and handmade in Florence by Master Goldsmith Paolo Penko, the “Lorenzo” Ring features a bas-relief recreation of Lorenzo “il Magnifico” de Medici’s personal seal. In an allegorical representation of the supreme power of love, the seal depicts Cupid, the god of love, as he defeats the god of strength, Hercules, in a wrestling match.

“Lorenzo” Rings are available in two configurations: a Sterling Silver scroll-engraved setting with Sterling Silver medallion, or in Maestro Penko’s signature “Bugnato” setting paired with an 18k Rose Gold medallion.

In 1545, Bronzino completed his portrait of Lucrezia Panciatichi wearing a long gold necklace with four burnished silver elements inscribed with the words “Amour dure sans fin” (“love endures without end”).

Nearly 500 years later, that necklace would become our primarily source of inspiration for L’Arte Nascosta’s Renaissance-inspired revisitation of the classic American ID Bracelet.

Developed by Master Goldsmith Paolo Penko and cast in Sterling Silver according to the traditional lost-wax method, the “Animale” Lapel Chain was designed as an elegant accessory to be worn on a blazer in lieu of a lapel pin. The chain is threaded through the lapel’s button hole and hangs into the breast pocket while the miniature Sterling Silver casting in the shape of a turtle, frog, seashell, lizard or fox rests on the lapel.

Each “Animale” Lapel Chain is delivered with a handwritten certificate of authenticity.

Designed by Master Goldsmith Paolo Penko and cast in solid Sterling Silver according to the traditional lost-wax method, the “Io Ero” Cuff Links depict a detailed skull atop a convex button embellished with Maestro Penko’s signature “penkato” finish.

The “Io Ero” Cufflinks are inspired by a classic Italian mantra akin to memento mori: “ Tu sei quello che io ero, io sono quello che tu sarai,” or, “You are what I once was, I am what you will be.” Inscriptions of this phrase are reproduced in many churches around Italy and serve as a reminder of the inevitability of death.
