The "Medici Ring" Pendant in 18k Gold
$5,950.00

Inspired by “Pallas and the Centaur,” which is believed to have been commissioned by Lorenzo il Magnifico in 1482 as a wedding gift for his cousin, Lorenzo di Pierfrancesco de Medici. Adorning Pallas’ dress is one of the Medici’s devices: three overlapping diamond rings joined to form a triangle.

Drawing inspiration from this pattern, Paolo handcrafted the same design in 18kt gold and Sterling Silver. Iolite gemstones adorn each style; an element of texture is offered by the setato finish engraved around the circumference of each ring; setatura is a finishing technique used throughout the Florentine Renaissance to mimic the effect of spools of silk thread.
