The nectar that nourished emperors and paupers, politicians & artisans, wines & spirits have woven a unifying thread through the fabric of Italian history.

Italy’s Nectar – Tuscan wineries and distilleries is a curated journey through the Florentine city center and Tuscan countryside that follows the course of this thread as it has progressed through the millennia, beginning with the settlements of the Etruscan period, onward to medieval monasteries, ultimately winding its way to modern day wineries and distilleries that produce alcoholic beverages that are distributed around the world.

Designed as a fully immersive experience in this fundamental aspect of Italian culture and conviviality, this tour’s itinerary includes two vineyard visits with wine tastings, an artisanal distillery visit and tasting, and concludes with an aperitivo before one of Florence’s most exclusive, private views, usually closed to the general public.

    • 3 wine/spirit tastings, aperitivo and a traditional Tuscan lunch.

  • Guests will enjoy a privately guided tour of two vineyards, a distillery run by monks, and an artisanal distillery.

  • This excursion provides ample opportunities to discover Florence’s city center and countryside as guests will discover the city from a unique perspective.
