Over the years, we have been privileged to receive commissions from our community of patrons that have asked us to design and create some extraordinary engravings that have afforde us the possibility to express the breadth of our creative vision, and - most of all - the extent of Jesùs ability.
Each of the examples that follow were designed in house by L’Arte Nascosta Founder. and Creative Director, Salvatore Ambrosino, and hand engraved by Master Jesùs Serrato in Rome.
A commemorative engraving on the case back of a Rolex Explorer 1016 after the patron and owner of the watch wore it to summit Mt. Everest. Mixed technique: surface engraving, sculpting, 24k gold inlay, and urushi lacquer.
A hand surface engraved Kaweco Liliput Brass Fountain Pen.
A hand carved jade cameo set in a sterling silver ring made in collaboration with Master Goldsmith Paolo Panko. The jade cameo depicts a gilt bronze figure from Sanxingdui, Sichuan province, China (ca. 1200-1050 BC); the gilding detail was accomplished by inlaying 24k gold on the surface of the jade.
A hand engraved and inlaid belt buckle made in collaboration with Torino-based Knife & Belt Buckle maker, Paolo Molari. This piece exhibits the use of mixed techniques including surface engraving, sculpting, punto bulino, and 24k gold inlay.
A Kaweco Brass Sport fountain pen with gothic and romanesque style engravings inspired by sacred Florentine architecture. The pen is further embellished with inlaid silver, gold and copper detailing.
