A Sartorial Retrospective: Ethics, Tradition and Sartoria
It's been more than two years, but it seems like just yesterday that I had the pleasure of visiting Antonio Liverano's tailor shop in Florence with my good friend and menswear blogger, Fabio Attanasio of The Bespoke Dudes.
Florence was in the midst of the post-Pitti lull in June 2013 when Fabio and I paid a visit to Mr. Liverano and Taka to talk about the Liverano & Liverano Tailoring Philosophy.
It was an incredibly inspiring and enlightening experience that helped me understand the importance of safeguarding the artisanal arts in the modern world.
More than skilled laborers, artisans are craftsmen, and more still, they are artists. The objects they produce synthesize centuries-old tradition, esthetic, skill and philosophy, thereby gifting the consumer with much more than money can ever buy.
Fabio wrote a great post about it HERE.
